Year 2008 - Ho-Ho-Kus Commemorates - 100th anniversary Celebration

Message from Thomas W. Randall, Mayor of Ho-Ho-Kus

In 1998, the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus Celebrated the 300th Anniversary of our settlement. In 2008, we will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our Incorporation as a Borough. For this milestone Anniversary, I have been busy working with the Town Council and other important members of the community to put together a year long celebration of events which will go on throughout 2008. We will begin our celebration with the Christmas Tree Lighting on December 2, 2007 and end with the Christmas Tree Lighting on December 7, 2008.

The theme of our celebration is "Ho-Ho-Kus Commemorates". We are inviting you to join in the celebration by participating in the events of the coming year. Some of the events being planned are "Casino Night" in January, a "Winter Carnival" in February, and "Murder Mystery Night" in March and of course Ducky Derby Day in May.

I know that many of you would like to support this centennial in any way possible. On this page you will find a Participation Request Form offering the various levels of membership. I would like to bring to your attention a very special opportunity for your family or business: our "Streetscape Membership". This lasting and memorable sponsorship allows you to personalize a permanent brass plate for one of the decorative street lamps that are planned for the downtown area.

Ho-Ho-Kus Needs your financial support for our Borough Anniversary to be successful.

Kindly review the sponsorship information carefully and decide how best to show your support. It is my hope that many of our residents and business owners will take advantage of this Centennial Commemoration and use this opportunity to either advertise your businesses or simply memorialize your family's name. The committee and I look forward to seeing you at the many events planned. They promise to be a good time for all.

We will follow up with a personal phone call to see how you would like to help "ho-Ho-Kus Commemorate".

Warmest regards,
Thomas W. Randall
Mayor
